The Movement above the $1 a day Threshold Project (MDP) seeks to address the measurement challenge presented by the Microcredit Summit Campaign (MCS) goal of ensuring that 100 million clients rise above US$1 a day by 2015.

Insufficient measurement is a common problem in the area of international development and in the field of microfinance. The use of poverty measurement tools and formation of expert panels to estimate client movement above $1 a day will help MCS in reaching this goal.

Your generous gift will help the MDP team in training microfinance institutions on poverty measurement tools and forming expert panels in countries where microfinance outreach is strong, but $1 a day poverty is prevalent.
