What Does the Secretariat Do to Help?
RESULTS Educational Fund is committed to supporting the commitments made at the Microcredit Summit. Even more important, RESULTS Educational Fund will continue to enlist others in this work. Through the Microcredit Summit Secretariat, RESULTS Educational Fund makes available the following resources to support others:
A quarterly newsletter highlights progress in creating and implementing bold action plans in support of the Summit's goal, and provides a forum for promoting best practices and resources.
This website publicizes the successes of microcredit and progress in work toward the Summit's goal, and also facilitates the sharing of best practices and resources. The website also includes a searchable database of council member institutions, and will soon provide brief profiles on practitioner institutions.
Media coverage builds public awareness, fuels excitement, encourages implementation of action plans, and enlists new participants in the movement.
The Secretariat solicits opportunities to present the Summit at global, regional, and national conferences.
A report will be produced, every two years, monitoring global progress toward the achievement of the Summit's goal.
Materials for others to use in education and outreach are available for distribution.
