Poverty Targeting Trainings Begin in Asia

Three-day trainings on the CASHPOR House Index (CHI) and Participatory Wealth Ranking (PWR) will be held in eight locations across Asia. Funds provided by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) are making these trainings possible. Dr. D.S.K. Rao, Asia Organizer for the Microcredit Summit Campaign has led trainings on CHI in Lucknow, India and Kathmandu, Nepal and on PWR in Yogykarta, Indonesia between February and May 2003. More than 65 practitioners have participated thus far. Dr. Rao is the only person in the microfinance field who has been certified to lead trainings on both tools. For more on these tools click here.
